My top 10 video games

     Coming in at number 10 is a Nintendo Wii game this is The Bigs. This game made it on the list for its motion control base running, pitching, and fielding. The game’s down fall is its nonresponsive motion controls, extremely hard campaign mode, and out of date graphics have make the ten spot.

  Next at 9 is a PlayStation 2 game. Guitar hero made it into the 9 spot because of its new spin on video games by having a guitar shaped controller with 5 buttons red, green, yellow, orange, and blue. Its downfall is the insanely hard hard mode and impossible extreme mode.

Number 8 is Infinity Blade 2 from the apple app store. This game has insanely good graphics great game play, and a terrific backstory. The main flaw of this game is its circular gameplay there are only 5 bosses with 3 extremely hard mini bosses that only give you a set of armor that raises your attack by only 200. Although the game is fun the game map gets old very quick.

Number 7 is Sly Cooper 3 for the PlayStation 2 this game is a continuation on the immensely popular Sly Cooper series this game already has its reputation of sneaking around enemy bases trying to find a way to defeat the leader and collecting 30 bottles to get a special move in each over world. The only flaw I can find in this game is that you don’t get to see much of the new characters in the game.

Coming at number 6 is Pilotwings Resort for the Nintendo3ds this is a release title for the 3ds and has a 3d effect option if wanted. The problem is when you get about halfway through the game it becomes near impossible to get to the next tier of levels.

The number 5 spot goes to Portal 2 for the PC. This game has another great backstory but this game is a puzzle game with death traps, lasers, and even military grade turrents. The downfall of the game is that it’s short I beat it in half an hour so the game is very short if me one of the worst puzzle game players beat it that quickly.

Blog Ideas.

Some ideas for blog posts are:

• Write about past experiences 

Such as like interesting things that happened when you played a sport or just some childhood memories. Just let people know what you've accomplished in your life or just some fun things you have done.

• Give advice

Teach your reader how to deal with things or how to get down a new skill. (skating, dancing, skiing, singing etc. Maybe even just tell how you dealt with a situation such as going from 7th grade to 8th grade.

• Give your opinion

Tell your reader about some good movies, songs, books, or just your own thoughts and opinion over any topic.

• California's society. Good? or Bad?

Write a post about whats happened recently , or just how the society is. Write some interesting ideas/creations. Give some good news about whats happened recently maybe even give some bad, and discuss which one over rules the other.

• Things to do before you kick the bucket

Give a list of fun things to do that aren't everyday things. Just put everything out there that could make you smile, have fun, or just some places that can make you feel that there is more to life. YOLO.

• How to tell someone you like them

Yes we are at a young age and most likely are just wasting our time with relationships but it brings more excitement into our lives. But most people or children don't know how to tell the person they like that they have a crush on them so if you have experience with relationships and know how to get with someone then you should share your knowledge with others and give people advice from experience.

If a picture is worth a thousand words then name some and describe the picture or just talk about a picture.

• Creativity

Post interesting things don't just post facts all the time or stuff straight from the article , add your own style and express yourself in your writing. You want others to be interested in your article, if your a creative person or have a wide imagination show that represent yourself as you are. You want to keep your posts interesting. blogging isn't all about answering articles straight up like if someone asks, "Do you like school?" & you just say, "No" your going to sound plain explain why tell what caused you to dislike school. What do the people who do your nails actually say ?

          So on Saturday my sister decided to get her nails done . So we are driving and we spot the nail salon and she is getting her pedicure done and the lady who was doing her nails and the lady next to her were talking really fast and was probably from somewhere in Asia because of the way they were speaking. So I was thinking the entire time when my sister was getting her nails done what the ladies were probably saying and here is a list about the possible things I thought they was saying

 This site did not help me much, I mean it was a good written piece but i like to use my ideas rather than another persons. While I did use that site i feel that my ideas may help the teacher think of new things to right about in the future. Hopefully he will take at least one of my ideas into consideration. 20 Blog Post Ideas

Their are many ways to make your blog posts better and not boring. Most of these ideas root from the article 10 Powerful Post Ideas. I will also get ideas from the article Starting a Blog? 12 Ideas for Blog posts.

One idea is make lists it is an easy way to stay organized and get your point across. Another one is use humor in your writing it livens it and makes it more fun to read. You should include links in your post to further inform people as it says in the second article. Another idea is make your blog unique to you.

You can write a How To post.These can be a big hit with the readers.another thing you can write about is current events. You can also reflect off of something that you may have seen or even read about. You can review something such as a movie or food. Here are some other ideas you can use.

• Find some expertise on certain subjects

Dress Code

I think that teachers don't need a dress code because they are professionals and they will dress like one. They should know that they can't go to work in sweat pants, but they shouldn't be forced to wear expensive clothing like it states in the article ''Dress Code''. Teachers are responsible adults and they will dress properly. Teachers will dress accordingly and comfortably for their teaching day. They don't need someone to tell them what they can and can't wear.

Another statement in the article is that students know their teacher so they should judge the person by how the act rather than how they dress.

Should Teachers Have A Dress Code?

          Do you have a student dress code at your school? If so then you probably have had to lower your sense of style and had more difficulties while school shopping. With us students having dress code we have to search for clothing that will keep us out of trouble but still give us originality and style. Then there's the teachers, who have no dress code and dress how they want to. They have it easy clothing wise in my opinion I mean like why should students have to follow a dress code and not teachers. Yes, teachers are adults they are capable of taking care of themselves but some teachers outfit choices can be quite disturbing and some present themselves poorly in front of students.Though, some teachers do dress professionally and present them selves as serious people, that don't require to have a dress code. But there's also the teachers who come in just a simple t-shirt, shorts, high heels, or in a sleeveless shirt or dress who need a dress code enforced in order to dress appropriately for work. And I give props to the teachers who are capable of presenting themselves appropriately without a dress code. But overall I do accede that teachers should have a dress code policy and agree with Aimee Downers point.
          As a student you are required to follow dress code which I think has some silly rules. Such as not being able to wear a tank top I understand they don't want to see undergarments but a tank top with a thicker strap is capable of covering up bra straps. So as students we are told to come as responsible young adults, so why shouldn't teachers have to represent themselves as responsible adults? Adults are suppose to be good role models for the youth , in which teachers should get a stricter dress code then us students have. Yes, teachers should know how to dress themselves and present themselves in front of others but unfortunately some do not. Although only some teachers require a dress code i still do believe one should be enforced to all of them cause if a teacher presents their self correctly then a dress code should not affect them.
          Also, if teachers have a dress code then it could actually help them succeed in their career because students will most likely take them more seriously. And teachers if you get a dress code no that does not mean you have to dress up in slacks and a button down shirt with a tie everyday. But in my opinion teachers should have the same dress code policies as student if not then more fitted to their age group. I could honestly say that both  Amy Downer and Bill McConnell give good reasons for whether or not teachers should have a dress code to follow or not and I agree with both of them in some ways. But Overall I would have to say Amy Downer is more convincing and has better ways to back up her opinion and why she believes teachers should have a dress code .

          So I think if teachers shouldn't have a dress code then neither should we I mean come one we have to at least be fair in one thing. If their will be dress code for teachers the should all dress like my english teacher and math they dress appropriately because they are supposed to be an influence to us students and not dress like  my p.e.  ( no offence)who dresses like our eight grade peers . can't she dress more like the other p.e. teachers anyways and if no teachers like it they can tell the principal to banish dress code and they at least dress code ours as well because  it will be very fair.

        I wanted to add on what my peer said that a teacher shouldn't wear shirts times smaller than their regular size. this is for all the teacher that have worn dress code bring an extra shirt like my english teacher even if you don't sweat or ride your bike , be appropriate. Do it for the students.

That is what will happen if strict dress code is not enforced on teachers. Teachers should be expected to go to school looking ready to teach, but some times that is not the case. As expressed in this article shared by English Answer man. If a teacher comes to school looking like shes wearing pajamas or in a shirt that's 3 sizes smaller than she is, it distracts students and probably staff.

New teachers should adjust their wardrobe according to their new environment. Shopping to get new clothing should be based on ones occupation example: if I were a teacher I would get the appropriate artier button up shirt, jeans and a tie.  

Teacher Dress Code 101

Do you think teachers should have a dress code? I believe teachers shouldn't have a dress code because they should be able to know how to dress appropriately for work. 

                     Aimee Downer teaches in a Suburban area in Atlanta, Georgia. At her school, the dress code is very strict. Women had to wear pantyhose, and men had to wear a shirt and tie.The men couldn't have facial hair, and not even an earring. In one school year, she had to be sent home twice because of her dress code violations. Her first violation was she was wearing a blouse that didn't have a collar. On the second occasion, she was wearing a school shirt, but it wasn't a collared golf shirt. She thinks having a dress code makes her job more professional. She noticed that when teachers have a dress code, they are more respected and sophisticated. She has a Masters degree in teaching, and she takes it seriously. 

                   In my opinion, the teachers shouldn't dress like their going to a night club or just hanging around the house. Teachers should dress like they're going to a courtroom: formal and well groomed. At the school where Aimee teaches, they should at least have one day where they could wear whatever they desire. 

                   Bill McConnel is a teacher at Ontario High School and is a member of ACT(Associated Chaffey Teachers). He does not believe in dress code. He thinks that he doesn't need anybody to tell teachers how to dress for work. They are adults, and they can handle themselves. In his classroom, it's kind of dusty. He's wondering," Why wear a shirt and tie when the classroom is dusty? You can just wear a button-down shirt, regular jeans, and tennis shoes. No shirt and tie needed." Eventually, you sometimes will get stains on a shirt and tie when writing on a white board because when you put down the eraser, it lets out alot of marker dust and it will get your shirt dirty. He also thinks that teachers don't need to pay $400-600 a year for shirts and ties. That's a whole worth of school necessities for an entire year! Why waste the money?

                   I agree with Bill because teachers don't need a dress code. Students know who the teacher is. They don't rely on the teachers to dress properly for school. They just rely on them to give them the education they need. Besides, other teachers don't look at other teachers clothes to give opinions. 

                   There are pros and cons of having a dress code. I believe focusing on education is more important than focusing on what teachers wear to school.

     Have you ever thought about how teachers dress and about how many of the teachers dress fairly nice, but then there are the teachers that dress in a vinyl tee-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops. So some people think teachers should have a dress code. I personally think that teachers should have a light dress code. A light dress code is not allowing teachers to wear flip-flops or other pieces of clothing that are inappropriate for the school environment or garments that are just like student garments (in the way of style.)    

     First, teachers should have a light dress code so that the teachers that do dress like kids still stand out and can be picked out of a large group of students. Also they need a light dress code so they look a little more professional if they do not already.

Second, Teaches need a dress code following these guidelines so they can take the teacher more seriously in the class room. The teachers that don’t follow guidelines like this are generally taken more lightly than teachers that do follow these guidelines. Teachers need a light dress code so then the students won’t be focusing on the teacher’s new tee-shirt, and on their work.

So as you can see teachers need a dress code so that they will look more professional, get taken more seriously, and so the students will focus on their work.    

Teacher's Dressing

In my honest opinion teachers should have an enforced dress code to follow when they are at school.  Not only does a dress code give teachers a more professional look, it also makes it so that if kids have dress codes they cannot complain that the teachers are not doing the same thing as them so why do they have to follow it. Sure people may say that the moral of a teacher would tell them what to and what not to wear, but sadly that is not always the case in teacher dress code. Some teachers, mainly ones that have just finished collage, may not be very professional in how they look, they may just look like how they did in there dorm days of collage. Some teachers even come into school sagging their jeans, what kind of image do kids get if they see grown men and women dressing like they are going to a club. Do you want kids to grow up to be doing the same things that some of these teachers do. The answer is no, kids should not be exposed to some of the unclassyness that some teachers have when they pick out there clothes for the morning. Some teachers may be able to choose proper and ethical clothing for the school day but some teachers cannot choose the correct clothing. That is why I feel that teachers should have a dress code when they come to school in the morning.

I am an admin of this blog.          So this may be my first blog ,but hey it doesn't seem hard at all. I mean this will probably be the easiest thing in an advanced class I will probably will ever do but, it can be just as hard as like any other online assignment. Anyhow doing this will be super easy and fast and convienient. I can think about over ten topics I would talk about some of them would be like how cool pig latin is ,and what ten beautiful sights in guatemala you have to see , and how hard it is to speak a different language also how to remeber things when you have bad memory, how to survive in texas.

 

      those are just some because if I had to name them all I would probably would have still been working on it the day after. this year will be the best ever. I need to go now because it will be my curfue in a few minutes.

Blogosphere: Go Figure!

I envision myself writing about the stories that we read in class. I become most excited when we get to do creative writing. Creative writing is when you get to write freely and whatever you like.I also get excited because its on the Internet and I can learn new ways of communication. One thing that makes it difficult for me is what to write about when I am given a specific prompt. I do care because I want to learn about different ways of writing. Out of this experience, I hope to get inspiring ideas and great writing skills.

It All Starts

         In the next eight months, I envision myself posting about different things depending on what the assignment is or even what I feel like writing that day. A few examples on what i can write about are baseball, music, school, games, and electronics.
        What excites me most about this assignment is that it is on the internet. This excites me most because I is different and new to me. Another thing that excites me is that i believe this will prepare me for high school.
         Not sure what to think if this assignment is easier or harder. It is easier because we can type and if I make a mistake I do not have to rewrite it all over so it can look nice but in the other hand it can be harder because every one see your work and i can see every ones work and that means we push each other to work harder in our assignments.

 
         

Blog praise and good and bad writing topic Predictoins

     This is my prediction of future blogs of the year that will be good and bad.Im pretty happy about this because I HATE hand writing any thing. This is mainly because I usually get ideas faster than I can write them so this will be a good time for me to actually have people read my writing.
     Here are some  A couple things that could be good subjects will be like telling people about things that irritate you. Another topic that would be good could be how you think the future would will turn out. A topic on the bad side would be somthing like write how you think a person feels when they get laid off because thats sad and would be hard for some people to write about just off the top of there head. A second blog topic on the worse side would be sort of like pursuavsive blogs becaus then they will be big opinion wars and things like that are never good. So all in all i think this will be one of my better years of school.  

      

Where it all starts

While I do wonder about the things that are sure to come from this Blogosphere, as Mr.Vega called it, I do know something that I expect and hopefully these things shall come to fruition. First off, I envision myself to be writing a lot of stories, articles, experiences, and a lot about what I like, or what any of my fellow bloggers like in these next eight months. In my opinion, this is a very great idea to have the students become writers on a blog. I actually have no negative emotions toward this idea, frankly i'm actually fairly excited to get into this idea. Mainly because I love to type and use the computer. It's a lot more efficient to use than to hand write, in my opinion. Well enough of that, the main thing that I want to bring out of this blogging experience is to become a better writer, not only in grammar, punctuation, and so on, but I would also like to become better at writing stories. I want to be as best a writer as I can be and hopefully this experience will help me to do so. These are all things that I have come to expect from this experience, so let's have an awesome year and let's get blogging.
